Oyo State Police have arrested four suspected hoodlums who were allegedly hired to disrupt the just concluded primary election in Lagos state.

While parading the suspects, Commissioner of Police in Oyo state, Mrs Ngozi Onadeko said the suspects were arrested during a stop and search by the police men along Lagos Ibadan express way.

She said though the gang plan was to go to Lagos to cause mayhem at the just concluded APC primaries but was intercepted by the police with arms and ammunition as well as local charms.

The leader of the gang, Tayo Esinola said he was hired by some political leaders to arranged some hoodlums who would cause crises during the primary election but met his Waterloo when they were accosted by the police.

Esinola who said he regretted his actions as the people who hired him has deserted him therefore pleaded for leniency.

Another suspects, Nuru Adele and Aderibigbe Segun were arrested for kidnapping their niece and demanded for two hundred thousand ransom but later received ninety thousand naira.

The duo denied raping the twelve years old girl as it was alleged by the police and begged for mercy as they promised to turn a new leaf if released.

Exhibit found with the police include several bullets, local guns, cash, charms and other criminal materials.
