The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye has enjoined the youths to invest more on reading to broaden their horizon in contributing to local and global development.

Pastor Adeboye who lamented poor reading culture among some youths as seen in hours they spend on social media rather than reading books that could benefit their lives noted that soaring higher in life and impacting the world requires gathering knowledge and applying it.

The cleric while speaking on a charge from the church’s devotional titled “Feed your brain” said how high one flies in life depends on the quality of the knowledge and information one feeds his or her brain.

He charged the younger generation to read books across discipline, attend seminars, watch documentaries and be an insatiable learner as ignorance could be costlier.

Pastor Adeboye while also asking them to be cautious in the choice of books they read, explained that a reader could gain in few hours what it took the author seventy years to learn.
