As part of efforts toward broadening the horizon of young minds and raising the aspirations of students, the pupils of Police Children School 3, Iyaganku, Ibadan have embarked on an excursion to the Broadcasting House of Radio Nigeria, Dugbe, Ibadan.

The pupils were not only exposed to various processes involved in the transmission of news and programmes of Radio Nigeria but also saw facilities such as the live and recording studios, audio consoles, microphones, and lots of other facilities.

Speaking on the rationale behind the excursion, the school’s Assistant Head Teacher, Academics, Mrs Evelyn Anunukem said the exercise was meant to expose the pupils to areas of interest in carrier choice and development.

Mrs Anunukem who said learning should not be limited to the classroom alone however urged parents and school’s administrators to undertake excursions regularly to expose the pupils to occupational realities in order to motivate them.

Some of the pupils expressed delight for the exposure given them.

They, however, appealed to the management of the school to sustain the programme for the benefit of the students.
