Oyo State coordinator of Child Protection Network, CPN, Dr Rosemary Odigbo has tasked the judiciary to appoint more judges for quick dispensation of justice in the state.

Dr Edugbo made this known after the fourth adjournment of a case involving the organisation and a popular skit maker, Maruf Abdullahi, popularly known as Trinity at a family court in Iyaganku, Ibadan

The skit maker Trinity on the 17 of December 2023 was alleged to have exploited a 10-year-old girl in Kuola Area of Ibadan by using her to produce a skit with inappropriate sexual content.

The state coordinator of CPN noted that several adjournments of cases might sometimes dissuade the plaintiff from following the case to a logical conclusion.

The National Coordinator Of the network, Olakunle Sanni also maintained that the organisation would not be deterred by the obstacles encountered during the prosecution of any case and always follows cases through for justice to be served.

It would be recalled that the Oyo State Police Command had arrested and charged Mr Abdullahi alongside the parents of the victim with conspiracy, sexual abuse and exploitation.

A family court in Iyaganku, Ibadan presided by Magistrate P. O. Adetuyibi, had ordered the remand of the popular skitmaker and the parents of the child, Isiaka Ahmed and his wife, Rofiat Ahmed before later granting them bail.
