As part of efforts to ensure Muslims were well rooted in the knowledge of Islam and avoid misconceptions surrounding the religion, Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society of Nigeria, NASFAT Missionary Institute, NMI, in collaboration with NASFAT Oyo Zone 1 has organized a Train-the-Trainers course in Ibadan.

The course which is in its fourth edition was held at Mariny Schools Oloje-Ataba, in Soka Area of Ibadan.

The Chairman of NASFAT Oyo Zone 1, Alhaji Abdurasaq Fadahunsi noted that misconceptions such as the misinterpretation of Jihad and relegation of women to the background in Islam, were some of the reasons the program was organized.

Alhaji Fadahunsi said Islam is a religion that teaches how to be fair to all in the society, which includes women and children.

Dawah Coordinator for women in NASFAT Oyo Zone 1, Hadjia Sadiat Azeez said the program which was dialogue in nature, was also a way to ensure the trainees would be able to provide answers to deep questions, as the religion emphasizes knowledge above any other thing.

Similarly, the chairman, NASFAT, Moniya Branch, Alhaji Olakunle Amoo said knowledge acquired during the course of the training would be useful anywhere in the world as far as Islam is concerned.

One of the facilitators, Alhaja Faosat Lawal and Secretary Women Affairs, NASFAT Oyo Zone 1, Aljaha Kadijat Busari stressed the need for Muslims to seek knowledge as exemplified by Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) when he was alive.

Our correspondent added that the two day program ended on Sunday with a closing ceremony and among those in attendance was the Deputy Director Information Communication Technology, ICT, Radio Nigeria Ibadan Zonal Station, Aljaha Wasilat Salami.
