An Islamic organization, Nasrul-Lahi-il Fathi Society of Nigeria, NASFAT, has inaugurated an ultra-modern Hospital, named NASFAT Medical Centre.
The facility which was donated by a philanthropist, Alhaji Isiaq Asamu through the Asamu Foundation, is located in Soka Area, Ibadan, Oyo State.
The medical facility which was commissioned by the president, NASFAT Society, Alhaji AbdulRauf AbdulWaheed has a range of services that includes obstetrics and gynecology, surgery, children care, general medical care and laboratory services with high quality medical equipment.
Alhaji AbdulWaheed who was represented by the Secretary, National Health Services of the Organisation, Dr. AbdulAkeem Agboola said, though the facility would be run as a business entity, it would still provide affordable, adequate and effective health care services to the public.
The NASFAT president assured people that the charges would be moderate with trusted and qualified medical personnel already recruited, adding that the hospital will be open for all irrespective of religious affiliations.
He then called on the people to make use of the medical centre for proper healthcare delivery.
In a lecture entitled “Health is Wealth”, an Environmentalist, Dr. Maroof Amoo advised Nigerians to prioritize their health by going for regular checkups, eating good and balanced diet to stay healthy and avoid preventable death.
Speaking, the Zonal Chairman of NASFAT, Oyo Zone One, Alhaji AbdulRazaq Fadahunsi said, the society was not only about propagating Islam but also to assist people as directed by God through His servant, Prophet Muhammad.
Alhaji Fadahunsi added that it was also part of efforts to contribute to the nation’s health sector in the interest of the teeming population.
In a goodwill message, wife of the donor, Alhaja Taiwo Asamu described her husband, Alhaji Isiaq Asamu as lover of all who always strives to put smiles on the faces of the people, particularly, the less privileged in the society.
Alhaja Asamu enjoined beneficiaries and the staff to make use of the facility to the Glory of God and benefit of humanity, saying everyone would give account of whatever he or she did while on earth.
At the inauguration of the NASFAT Medical Centre, Soka Ibadan, Oyo State which begins work immediately were members of the National Executive Council of the Society, Zonal Executive including the Public Relations Officer, PRO, who is also the Deputy Director Information and Communication Technology, DDICT, Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, FRCN, Ibadan Zonal Station, Alhaja Wosilat Salami.
