Oyo Deputy Speaker Reiterates Commitment to Developmental Projects

Deputy Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Mr Abiodun Fadeyi has reiterated commitment to intensify efforts at ensuring facilitation of developmental projects to his constituency in Ona Ara and the state in general. 

Mr Fadeyi who made this known while responding to requests from people of his constituency at a town hall meeting organized by the Oyo state National Orientation Agency, NOA, said in line with his constitutional duty, he had moved three major motions on security, education and flooding. 

The Deputy Speaker also promised to sponsor a bill for a law to decentralize the state Technical University in Ibadan, across the state, to make learning more accessible to the people especially at the grassroot.  

He also assured that there will be tremendous development at the grassroot when local government administration come on board soon, saying all funds needed for them to hit the ground running is available.

While many of the constituents requested for improved security and good road network, others demanded laws on land grabbers, disability,community services, women and youth empowerment. 

The Alajia of Ajia, Oba Nureni Yusuf appealed to government at all levels to involve traditional leaders in policies and programs as they are closer to the people. 

Earlier, State Director, National Orientation agency, NOA, Mrs Dolapo Dosunmu noted that the essence of the program was to foster harmonious relationship between the people and their representatives.  Mosope Kehinde
