Officers of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC have been urged to remember the importance of upholding the rule of law, preserving peace and safe guarding the wellbeing of citizens.

Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke gave the advice during the passing out parade of the 2022 intake, 3rd year in office of the Commandant- General of the NSCDC, Dr Ahmed Audi and World Civil Defence Day with the theme : “Honour Heroes and Promote Safety Skills” held at NSCDC State Command Headquarters, in Ido -Osun.

Represented by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Security, Prince Samuel Ọjọ́, the Governor stressed that the role of officers of the NSCDC in ensuring the security and stability of the nation, could not be over-emphasized.

He called on the new intakes to put into practice the training given and abide by the rules of engagement in thier course of duty.

Earlier, Osun State Commandant of NSCDC, Dr. Michael Adaralewa stated that officers of the corps have been involved in conflict prevention and control of conflicts globally.

Dr. Adaralewa noted that the event was organized to celebrate the 3rd Anniversary in office of the Commandant-General, to remember gallant officers who lost thier lives in the course of protecting lives and property and called on the new intakes to discharge their duties with all sense of responsibilities.
