The Osun State Police Command has arrested a notorious cultist and alleged serial killer, Bode Owoeye 32, also known as Bode Itaapa and others for conspiracy, armed robbery and unlawful possession of prohibited firearms and murder.
Parading the suspects in Osogbo, the Command’s spokesperson, Mrs. Yemisi Opalola said
Owoeye was declared wanted for his involvement in Aiye Confraternity, which has been outlawed in the state.
Mrs. Opalola who explained that his arrest in Ilesa was made possible through credible intelligence noted that Owoeye confessed during interrogation to being a notorious political thug whose group was engaged in the services of a notable politician in the State.
The Osun Force PRO said efforts are ongoing to arrest the fleeing members, who will be charged to court upon the completion of the investigation.
Radio Nigeria Correspondent reports that the others arrested were Mukaila Lateef, 45, and David Samuel, 26.
Exhibits recovered from the gang include one blue-coloured unregistered TVS motorcycle, one locally made Beretta pistol with three live cartridges, one single barrel gun and one pump action.
Other items are one black unregulated Highlander Jeep, one black facemask, some charms and two cross bags.
