The Commandant General, of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Dr. Ahmed Audi has reiterated the agency’s commitment to ensuring that intelligence and information given by the public is aimed at fighting insecurity in the state. 

Dr. Audi gave the assurance during the commissioning of the Corps office with an operational vehicle donated by Imesi – Ile Progressive Association, held at Areja Square, Imesi-Ile Town, in Obokun Local Government of the state.

The Commandant General NSCDC represented by the Osun State Commandant of the NSCDC, Dr Michael Adaralewa emphasized that the agency would continue to collaborate with sister Agencies to protect the lives and property of Residents of the State.

Dr Audi “Permit me to sensitize you that Security thrives on intelligence and information given to Us will be treated with utmost Confidentiality with your support we can fight insecurity in Imesi – Ile, Osun State and Nigeria in General”

The Osun NSCDC Commandant commended the Imesi-Ile Progressive Association for its effort and deep concern for the security of their people and urged other communities in the state to emulate Imesi-Ile.

While appreciating stakeholders who made the project a reality, the Owa Ooye of Imesi-Ile, Oba Enoch Ademola, represented by High Chief Tunde Aluko appealed to the State Commandant to provide the facility with not less than fifteen armed personnel to help combat crime.

The National President, Imesi – Ile Progressive Association, Mr. Shola Agbeluyi lauded those who contributed immensely to the construction of the NSCDC and the purchase of an Operational Vehicle.

Mr. Agbeluyi, who noted that Imesi-Ile was a town bordering Ekiti State, stressed the need for water and tight security, assuring that the community would provide the necessary support for the smooth operations of security personnel.

The programme had High Chiefs of the Town, Security operatives of sister agencies, religious leaders, and other distinguished personalities in attendance.

In a related development, the Osun State NSCDC Command, led by Dr. Michael Adaralewa also paid a courtesy visit to the Owa – loko of  Iloko – ijesa, Oba Akeem Ogungbangbe to strengthen synergy with the town.
