All is now set for the conduct of the written examination for the recruitment of teachers into the public primary schools in Ekiti State.

The qualifying examination comes up tomorrow (Saturday September 21) in designated centres in Ado Ekiti, Ikere, Ido, Ode, Ikole, and Ijero Ekiti.

A statement in Ado-Ekiti by the Chairman, Ekiti State Universal Basic Education Board, SUBEB, Professor Francisca Aladejana directs candidates who applied for the teaching job to visit https://ekitistate.gov.ng/applicantseat to know their centres.

The statement implores applicants to bring along printed copies of their application forms and copies of their examination registration slips while coming for the examination scheduled to commence at ten O’ clock in the morning.

It however warns that candidates would not be allowed to bring in their telephones and other electronic devices into the examination halls.

Radio Nigeria correspondent, report that eleven thousand, six hundred candidates out of about twenty thousand applicants who initially applied for the teaching jobs are expected to sit for the qualifying examination.

One thousand, one hundred of the applicants will be recruited at the end of the exercise.

Ekiti State Government has distributed over one hundred and twenty eight million naira to nineteen Communities for various developmental projects.

Some of the benefiting communities are Eporo, Erinmope, Igbole, Ikere, Isan, Ijero, Ilawe, Abaiyamedi and others which all cut across all the three senatorial districts in Ekiti State.

Distributing the cheques in Ado-Ekiti, Governor Kayode Fayemi said the gesture was aimed at putting adequate infrastructure in place across rural communities and also put smiles on the faces of the people.

Dr. Fayemi also announced about five different projects worth five hundred million dollars which were to be executed in the state by the World Bank.

The governor however warned that government would not tolerate any shoddy job from contractors.

The spokespersons for the benefiting communities, Chief Gbenga from Ilawe Ekiti Agbona and Mr. Bayo Alu from Erinmope Ekiti appreciated the Governor’s gesture and promised to monitor all government projects in their domains.
