The Onibala of Ibala, Oba Christopher Adegboye Ariyo wants government at all levels to involve traditional rulers in policy making in the country.
Oba Ariyo made the call in Ilesa while speaking in an interview with Radio Nigeria.
The monarch noted that traditional rulers were closer to their subjects, which was an advantage in beefing-up security in their domains.
Speaking on the moral decadence in the society, Oba Ariyo said any nation that was not morally sound was bound to witness all sorts of social menace.
He blamed the trend on imitation from the western world, adding that Africa’s people have ways of teaching young ones to be morally upright.
The monarch who frowned at the way society reward shame and shamelessness with encomiums urged youth to desist from act capable of jeopardizing their future.
Oba Ariyo however called on government to make a concrete policy on employment to accommodate teeming unemployed youth, saying an idle hand is the devil’s workshop.
