Ekiti State Head of Service, Mr Ayodeji Ajayi has expressed satisfaction with the cooperation of teachers in the state on the recently concluded staff verification exercise conducted by the Teaching Service Commission for teachers in Public Secondary Schools.

Speaking with newsmen on Ado Ekiti, Mr Ajayi noted that contrary to speculations in some quarters on a purported planned retirement of teachers as a result of the exercise, it was designed to verify staff status to enable government recruit additional teachers before the September, 2019 resumption of new academic session.

The Head of Service stated that the exercise would help to correct lopsidedness and irregularities in the deployment of teachers observed the system to engender the welfare of both active staff and retirees of the Teaching Service Commission.

He urged all academic and non academic staff in the sector to continue to put in their best to justify timely payment of salary.
