Ahead of the 2019/20 Nigeria Nationwide League, NNL season, Ogun State based football club, Gateway United has held its first stakeholders’ forum aimed at restructuring the club side

The forum, which was held at the VIP Lounge of the MKO Abiola International Stadium, Kuto Abeokuta saw stakeholders in the sports sector in Ogun State give their suggestions on the various ways in which the management of the club could better the goods of the club side.

Chairman of the occasion, Mr Kunle Soname said it was time for Gateway United to follow the trend required to have a functional club aimed at development and promotion into the Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL.

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Job Creation and Youth development, Mr Lekan Olude appreciated the effort of the club’s management in putting the forum together, pointing out that the discussions at the forum would be properly communicated to the state governor. 

A 5-man committee was also constituted to harmonise the discussions at the forum with its report expected to be submitted after two weeks, and would be subsequently sent to the state government so as to achieve the desired result.
