The Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, NSCDC, has assured the public of its commitment to protecting critical infrastructure in the Niger Delta region, with a call on criminals to evacuate the area.

The Delta State Commandant of the NSCDC, Dr. Chike-Alpha Ikpeamonwu, stated this upon assumption of duty at the Command Headquarters in Asaba, following the redeployment of his predecessor Commandant Benito Eze.

Dr. Ikpeamonwu, noted his strategy to curtail crime in the state was focused on the training of personnel to handle dangers to national assets in the state including vandalism and outright oil theft.
