OGHA Ammends Service Commission Law

Ogun State House of Assembly has passed the State House of Assembly Service Commission Amendment Law, 2024.

The passage of the bill followed the presentation of the Committee report by the Chairman, the House Committee on Establishments and Public Service Matters, Mr Babatunde Tella, who also moved the motion for its adoption, seconded by Mr Adeyanju Adegoke and supported by all the members.

The bill was later read and adopted clause-by-clause before the Committee of Whole, after which the motion for the third reading of the bill was moved by the Majority Leader, Mr Yusuf Sheriff, seconded by the Minority Leader, Mr Adeleye Lukmon and supported by the Whole House through a unanimous voice vote.

Consequently, the Deputy Clerk of the House, Mrs Funmilayo Adeyemi, took the third reading of the bill before the lawmakers, while the Speaker, Mr Oludaisi Elemide directed that the clean copy of the bill be forwarded to the State Governor,  Prince Dapo Abiodun for his assent.

In another development, the speaker announced that the Assembly would hold a public hearing on the proposed State Rural and Semi-Urban Integration Development Law, 2023 on Wednesday, 22nd of May, 2024 by 10:00 am at the Assembly Complex, Oke-Mosan.
