Normalcy has returned to Mokola roundabout where violence was earlier experienced on Sunday morning.
Our correspondent who monitored the situation reported that Mokola roundabout was deserted in the morning while some hooligans were holding wood to lay off commercial motorists, tricyclist and motorcyclists attempting to carry passengers to their destinations.
Aside broken glasses and stones that littered the road, men of the Oyo State Operation Burst were on ground to maintain law and order.
Speaking with Radio Nigeria on the development, some traders and commercial motorcyclist said some hoodlums in the environs were attempting to break some shops at Mokola which was resisted by youths in the area.
They explained that the confrontation which later turned violent led to road block while passengers and traders scampered for safety.
They maintained that the timely arrival by men of Operation Burst helped in preventing the crises from escalating beyond control.
As at the time of filing this report passengers were still seeing trekking longer distance before boarding vehicles that will take them to their destinations.
