Police have apprehended four illegal merchants with ten thousand live cartridges in Ibadan.
The suspects were arrested at Oke Bola area of Ibadan in a Toyota Camry with registration number GGE 979 FT filled with the cartridges.
The suspects who confessed to the crime denied selling the ammunitions to armed robbers but to local hunters.
Two suspected female armourers were also paraded but denied their involvement in the ammunitions found with them.
Other suspects who were arrested for various offences confessed to the crime leveled against them, pleaded for leniency.
Parading the suspects, Commissioner of Police in Oyo state, Mr Shina Olukolu said the command through aggressive drive would make Oyo State unbearable for criminals.
