Nigerian Union of Journalists, NUJ, Oyo State Council, is poised to entrench professionalism and discipline among newsmen in the state.

Chairman, Oyo NUJ, Comrade Adewumi Faniran stated this when he led members of the council on a courtesy visit to FRCN Ibadan.

Comrade Faniran explained that his administration was doing all it could to ensure development of the union in the state within available means.

He thanked FRCN management for receiving his team, acknowledging its support during his quest for the state NUJ chairmanship.

Earlier, the state secretary of the union, Mr. Bola Ogunlaye, who explained that NUJ was mindful of the welfare of its members, said council embarked on the visit to have interface with FRCN management.

In a remark, Zonal Director, FRCN Ibadan, Alhaji Mohammed Bello, represented by Deputy Director Marketing, Mrs. Bolaji Owoyemi, described the visit as timely, and urged the union to enhance compliance with professional ethics, especially tackling quackery.
