Osun and Oyo state Governments have agreed to faithfully implement the Memorandum of Understanding on the discontinued joint ownership of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Ogbomoso.

Governors of the two states who stated this in Osogbo also said the decision to part ways was in the best interest of the students and staff of the institution and generation yet unborn.

Speaking Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde appreciated Gboyega Oyetola for his maturity and display of statesmanship which led to the mutual divorce.

Governor makinde noted that governor Oyetola had placed interest of the people above politics, partisanship and ego to arrived at that decision.

On his part,Osun state Governor, Mr  Gboyega Oyetola expressed hope that Oyo state would  fulfill its own side of the memorandum of Understanding on the discontinued joint ownership.

Governor Oyetola commended Oyo State governor for his commitment to education and infrastructure development in his state.

Since 2010, Ladoke Akintola Universty of Technology, Ogbomoso has been experiencing joint ownership crisis between Oyo and Osun State Governments
