Three suspects have been apprehended by officers of Ondo State Security outfit, Amotekun, for offences ranging from kidnapping, armed robbery, and attempted murder.

Parading them earlier in Akure, the Amotekun commander in Ondo State, Chief Adetunji Adeleye said 37-year-old Usman Garba a native of Niger State, was involved in a kidnapping act which was later foiled by officers of Amotekun while others are still at large.

He said 24-year-old Olanrewaju Olaleye from Okitipupa was arrested for armed robbery and that some dangerous weapons were recovered from him; while Lawal Haruna was arrested for attempted murder.

The alleged kidnapping perpetrator who confessed his involvement in two kidnappings, explained that he was co-opted to kidnapping by sponsors he claimed not to know, noting that the last operation which led to his arrest was to earn him 400,000 naira as his sponsors were billed to receive 4 million naira ransom, while he got 30,000 naira from his first operation.
