Chairman, National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, NAHCON, Alhaji Zikirullah Hassan says the lack of timely essential information is responsible for the difficulties experienced in this year’s Hajj exercise.

He stated this in Makkah at the closing ceremony of the 2022 Hajj season Organized by Tawafa Company for pilgrims of African non-Arab countries.

Alhaji Hassan said an early supply of Information would go a long way in enhancing effective preparations noting that major hitches experienced in this year’s Hajj was due to delayed messages.

He decried the idea of getting vital information on Hajj on social media without any recourse to the formal channels of passing messages across to countries.

The NAHCON boss congratulated the government of the Kingdom of Saudi- Arabia for the successful 2022 Hajj exercise and commended the authorities for the facilities put in place which prevented the spread of COVID-19 infections.

Alhaji Hassan lauded the Saudi- Arabia authorities for the facilities upgrade at various sites used for the Hajj exercise stressing that the services were commendable. “.
