Synonymous with elections are violence and vote trading.

Like a common Yoruba saying, “Ọmọ ọlọ́mọ là ń rán nísẹ́ de tòrutòru, which literarily means, those who use other people’s children to perpetrate evil will never use any of theirs, young people are the ones often used to foment trouble during electoral processes. These people are not family members of those who involve them in such activities.

This is the reason some youths decided to sound a note of caution on their fellow youths to shun violence and all form of electoral malpractice as the 2023 election approaches.

A word, they say, is enough for the wise.
