Residents of Kajola, Orita-Iloko and some notable areas in Ilesa, Iloko-Ijesa and Ijebu-Jesa have been counting their losses due to the significant damages caused by the downpour Monday night.
The incident resulted in the destruction of properties worth millions of naira, causing financial losses for business owners and landlords of the affected premises.
As at the time of this report, Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company, IBEDC, officials are were working on the electricity poles and cables that were destroyed at Kajola Area of Ilesa with the hope to touch other areas that were affected.
The heavy rainfall also disrupted some business activities causing concern among residents and business owners.
However, no injuries or life was lost.
