Ondo Government has donated relief materials to over 300 victims affected by rainstorm in Akure North Local Government.

Presenting the relief materials in Ita-Ogbolu, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, reiterated his administration’s commitment to the people of the state, which is to prioritize their welfare at all times.

The governor was represented by his deputy, Olayide Adelami, who doubles as chairman of Ondo State Emergency Management Agency (ODSEMA).

While distributing the materials, the deputy recalled that Governor Aiyedatiwa while inspecting the affected properties a few months ago had promised Ita-Ogbolu monarch and people of the town that his administration would provide succor.

Adelami revealed that the governor has directed that the materials be given to everyone affected by the disaster, regardless of political affiliations.

Items distributed included 340 households, bags of cement, mattresses, iron sheets and nails.

In a remark, the Ogbolu of Ita-Ogbolu, Oba Idowu Faborede, who appreciated the governor for being responsive, promised that his people would reciprocate the kind gesture.
