In a bid to ensure efficiency in the 2019 budget performances of the Ogun State Ministries, Departments and Agencies, MDAs, before the expiration of tenure of the present administration, the State House of Assembly has commenced its appraisal exercise.

Reacting to the budget performance of the State Market Development Board, the Chairman, House Committee on Finance and Appropriations, Mr Victor Fasanya advised the board to reduce the rents of its lock up shops in order to attract more occupants.

Mr Fasanya who expressed worries over the meagre amount being generated from the multi billion naira ultra modern markets located across the State, suggested that the rents of shops on the back rows should be lesser than those on the front rows to encourage occupancy.

Similarly, the Deputy General Manager, Programme Services of the Ogun State Television, OGTV, Mr Festus Kehinde said the construction work on the world class digital studio of the Station was at ninety per cent completion and would be ready for commissioning in May, 2019.

Also, General Manager, State Signage and Advertising Agency, Mr Akin Bandele pointed out that the agency had successfully removed unserviceable billboards along the Lagos/Ibadan Expressway and other parts of the State towards ensuring a clean environment.

In the same, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Mr Jonathan Onajobi appealed for the enactment of an enabling law to aid the smooth collection of revenue from trade and artisan groups to further boost the revenue into the coffers of State.
