A forty-five-year-old man, Kolese Womiloju and his twenty-five-year-old son Taiwo Womiloju have been arrested by the Nigeria Police Force for the murder of a thirty-two-year-old herdsman at Gbagba Elewure village in Odeda Local Government area of Ogun State.

A statement by the Nigeria Police Ogun State Command spokesman, Mr. Abimbola Oyeyemi made available in Abeokuta explained that the father and son were arrested for conspiracy and murder of one Abubakar Sidi Usman following a report at Odeda Divisional Headquarters that the deceased who has a cattle settlement at Gbagba Elewure village had gone missing.

The Police spokesman said the deceased corpse was found in an abandoned well in the nearby bush where he was thrown into after the killing.

Mr. Oyeyemi hinted that both suspects have confessed to the killing of the deceased for grazing his cows around their farm.

The suspect were said to have confessed the deceased was beaten with a charmed ring which made him to be unconscious after which he was hacked to death and his remains dragged to an abandoned well of about one kilometer to the crime scene, to conceal the crime.

Mr Oyeyemi said the state commissioner of police had ordered the suspects transfer to homicide section for further investigation and prosecution.
