Officials of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, NSCDC, Osun State Command are currently investigating a domestic violence case involving a 52 year old man, Raheem Seriki and his wife, 35 year old Omolara Seriki.
In a statement in Osogbo, the Public Relations Officer of NSCDC, Mr Daniel Adigun says the wife allegedly inflicted a deep cut on her husband scrotum.
Mr Adigun hints that the incident reportedly occurred on the 6th of June, 2020, first Sunday of the month at Iragbiji, Boripe Local Government Area, Osun state, between the couple who had been married for the past six years and blessed with two children.
He further explains that on the fateful day around 10 pm, a lady brought food for the husband, but could not go home as the rains delayed her.
While waiting for the rains to subside, he heard a knock on the door with a call to open it and he decided to end his prayers and opened the door, but to his surprise, it was his wife, Omolara.
The officials’ states further that immediately, an argument ensued and Omolara allegedly went for his scrotum with a bid to pull it out.
It was in the process, that the man reportedly fainted and only regained consciousness at the hospital when the injured scrotum was been sutured.
According to the narration, the woman alleged the husband of neglecting his responsibilities as a father and husband, making her to become suspicious about his movements and infidelity.
This made her to trace him to his house that very night and fortunately met a lady with him, adding that during the scuffle, the husband held her by the neck and in self-defense she pulled his male organs. Adenitan Akinola
