Similar, two pepper and tomatoes traders at shasa market complained that sales had fallen below their expectations, pointing that hike in prices of ingredients had not helped matters.
The story was not different at gbagi market where fabrics are being sold, the traders complained that expensive prices of clothes and shoes were discouraging a lot of buyers from buying.
Three customers who spoke with Radio Nigeria at gbagi market, said they had come to make few purchases basically for their children, pointing out that the present economic situation country called for much prudence in spending
They appealed to government to do more to address the dwindling economic fortune of Nigerians while expressing optimism that things would be better the New Year.
