The Olaiya flyover in osogbo which is near completion has been certified to be of good quality and for use.

These were the submissions of engineers and technologists in Osun state after an inspection visit to the project site in osogbo.

Answering questions from newsmen after they had been conducted round the flyover by the Osun state commissioner for works, Engineer Remi Omowaye, Chairman, Nigeria Society of Engineers, Osogbo, Engineer Wale Alonge and Technologist Engineer Ubigodhere Moses said the contractor used quality materials which made the project safe for use.

Both Engineer Alonge and Technologist Engineer Moses commended Osun state government for using indigenous engineers which had proved to the world that Nigerian Engineers could handle huge projects.

Also speaking, Chief Inspectorate of The Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria, COREN, Osogbo Inspectorate Regulation and Monitoring, Engineer Sakariyau Ademola harped on the need for proper maintenance of the flyover.

In his words, Osun state commissioner for works and transport, Engineer Remi Omowaye said the flyover would soon be opened for use.

Engineer Omowaye hinted that the state government was mapping out means to dualise Old garage-okefia-Lameco road in osogbo.
