Balogun Receives Appointment Letter as Olubadan

Olubadan-designate, Dr Lekan Balogun has received an appointment letter as the new Olubadan of Ibadanland.

The letter was signed by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters of Oyo State, Dr. Bashir Olanrewaju.

The letter was brought to the new Olubadan at his Alarere residence by the Chairman, Ibadan South-East Local Government, Mr. Emmanuel Alawode accompanied by the Director of Administration and General Services in the same local government, Alhaja Tawakalit Adedotun.

The letter congratulated the new Olubadan for the well deserved appointment snd prayed that God will grant him good health and long life to steer the ship of Ibadanland Traditional Institution.

It also prayed that the tenure of Dr Balogun as the new Olubadan will usher in peace, progress and development of Ibadanland in particular and Oyo State in general.

The three-paragraph letter with the title ‘Appointment into the Olubadan of Ibadanland Chieftaincy Stool’ reads: I’m directed to refer to the letter No. IBSELG 243T/2000 of 3rd February 2022 on the above subject matter from Ibadan South-East Local Government and inform you with pleasure that His Excellency Engr. Seyi Makinde, the Executive Governor of Oyo State has graciously approved your appointment as new Olubadan of Ibadanland on the 14th day of February, 2022.

“While congratulating you on this well deserved appointment, I pray that God will grant you good health and long life to steer the ship of Ibadanland Traditional Institution.

“I also pray that your tenure as Olubadan of Ibadanland will usher in peace, progress and development of Ibadanland in particular and Oyo State in general”, the letter reads further.

Meanwhile, the new Olubadan continued to receive guests, who were coming to felicitate him on the development.

Among the early callers were two of the High Chiefs, Osi-Balogun, Lateef Gbadamosi-Adebimpe and Ekarun Olubadan, Hamidu Ajibade.
