The Osun governor-elect, Senator Ademola Adeleke has tasked the newly inaugurated transition committee to see the task ahead of them as bigger than ensuring a seamless transition in partnership with the team from the side of the outgoing state government.

Senator Adeleke stated this at the inauguration of a 37 member transition committee saddled with the responsibility of ensuring smooth transition of power from the All Progressives Congress, APC, administration of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in November 27, 2022.

The Governor-Elect, had on Wednesday constituted a 37-member Transition Committee with Dr. Muyiwa Oladimeji as Chairman, Mr. Sunday Bisi as Deputy Chairman and Mr. Bamidele Salaam as Secretary.

The Governor-Elect also urged the committee to work with the terms of reference which includes, to ascertain facts and figures about the general state of affairs of Osun State, state of finance of the state including funds from the federation allocation account, internally generated revenue, grants and other sources of income.

While assuring that his administration will be by the people and for the people, Senator Adeleke assured that the best interest of Osun people at all times will be his ultimate guide.

In his remark, the Chairman of the Transition Committee, Dr. Muyiwa Oladimeji promised to work ensure a smooth transition programme.
