Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has described the departed Chief of General  Staff, Lt. Gen. Oladipo Diya as a seasoned administrator whose contributions to the development of the security architecture in the country could not be overemphasized.

In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Kunle Somorin, Governor  Abiodun commiserated with the military, friends and associates of Lt. General Diya on the demise of the Military Strategist.

The Governor also called on family members, friends and associates of the departed Leader to take solace in the fact that the late Statesman contributed his quota to the development of the country diligently and meritoriously.

While praying to Almighty God to grant late Diya’s soul eternal rest, Governor Abiodun also urged Nigerians to emulate his good virtues.

Also, Senator-Elect in Ogun East Senatorial District, Otunba Gbenga Daniel has  described Lt. General Diya as an illustrious son of Ogun State and Military strategist who played active roles in the affairs of the nation.

Otunba Daniel said demise of Lt. General Diya is a great loss to Ogun State in particular and Country in general.

He said Lt. General Diya was exemplary in the enforcement of the War Against Indiscipline with focus on a cleaner environment when  he was a Military Administrator in Ogun State.
