Adequate measures in place for Ogun supplementary poll- INEC

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, says adequate measures have been put in place for the smooth conduct of the supplementary State House of Assembly election in Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun State. 

The Public Relations officer of INEC in the state, Mr Opeyemi Ajayi told Radio Nigeria in Abeokuta that adequate logistics, including election materials and officials have been deployed to make the exercise hitch-free. 

Mr Ajayi who explained that the election would commence by half past eight in the morning explained that the exercise would take place in a single unit at Ifo one, polling unit 004.

He pointed out that the supplementary poll was due to cancellation of the election in that particular unit, during the March 18th 2023 Gubernatorial and House of Assembly elections. 

INEC has scheduled Saturday 15th April for supplementary elections in all states with outstanding elections, following the March 2023 General Elections.
