Gunmen Kill Middle Age Youths

Two middle-age youths were on Sunday killed in Ilesa by gunmen.

The victims identified as Machine and SK were shot dead in a beer parlor at Onimo junction by unknown gunmen on motorcycles.

Speaking with newsmen, the Onimo of Imo, Oba Olaniyi Agunbiade said he was watching a football match around eight in the evening when he suddenly heard sounds of gunshots

Oba Agunbiade said he immediately alerted the Ijamo police divisional officer, who swiftly responded to the distress call, but the deed had been done before the arrival of his men.

According to the monarch, corpses of the victims were removed by the police for investigation.

Confirming the incident, a police officer, who craved anonymity said preliminary investigations pointed at cult clash.

Efforts to speak with the Police Public Relations Officer, Osun state command, Mrs Yemisi Opalola proved abortive as at the time of filing this report.
