Operatives of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Ogun State Command, on Sunday night, carried out a rescue operation on Idiroko -Ota route, last involving 10 persons which comprised of five male adults, four female adults and a girl.

A statement by the Public Education Officer of the Corps, Mrs Florence Okpe indicated that the crash which occurred at about 8pm, claimed two male lives and left eight people injured.

The statement says that the injured victims were taken to General Hospital Idiroko for treatment while the corpses had taken away by the family.

It said that the suspected cause of the crash which involved two vehicles; a truck with registration number LSR 10YD and a Toyota Carina with no registration number, was wrongful overtaking that led to head on collision.

According to the statement, the State Sector Commander, Mr Anthony Uga advised motorists to always have a clear vision of between one hundred fifty and two hundred meters at nights and a controlled speed before overtaking .
