In a bid to pass on the legacy of hard work, dedication and career excellence of renowned Nobel Laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka, the Initiative for Information, Arts and Culture Development in Nigeria, IACD has organised a month-long exhibition to mark the ninetieth birthday of the Literature icon.

According to the President of IACD, Dr Kolade Mosuro, the one-month-long exhibition would bring the life and times of the foremost playwright and novelist to the fore through the display of visuals and memorabilia.

Speaking with newsmen in Ibadan, Dr Mosuro said the exhibition would trace the celebrant’s life and scholarly works from his home town, Isara, in Ogun State to the international stage.

He disclosed that eighty schools had been invited to view the exhibition free of charge while members of the public were also welcomed on Friday and every afternoon to enable the new generations to learn about him as well as for the older generations to gain insight from his scholarly and artistic achievements.

Dr. Mosuro who lamented the dwindling fortune of reading culture among the younger generation said the exhibition of Professor Soyinka’s works would spark a rebirth among the new generation.
