Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Oyo State Command, has paraded four suspects who gang raped a lady. 

 The suspects also took the victim to an unlicensed nurse, who carried out an abortion on her. The suspected rapists were paraded alongside other suspects who were arrested for various offenses ranging from rape to financial fraud. 

 The gang leader, Qayum Babatunde said it was an act of the Devil and pleaded for leniency. Another suspect , Aminu victor, Age 19 years from Adamawa State, was also paraded for raping the 9 year old daughter of his boss. 

 Also, the Tracking Unit of the Command arrested a suspect, Bakara Damilare, native of Idowa, Odogbolu Local Government of Ogun State who resides in Ikorodu for conspiracy and obtaining by false pretense a sum of money to the tune of 17 million Naira.

 He and his accomplice used Damilare Jide to open accounts in 3 different banks to defraud their victim. 

 “ Damilare Bakare and his accomplice open Access Bank account with account number 1870547954 to defraud one Sarumi Hakeem of 17 million naira meant for the purchase of a Toyota Highlander Jeep (2016 model”.

Another suspect Alabi Victor, Native of Ile Ogbo Osun state, age 25 years and his accomplice used his father’s account to defraud another person of his wealth by transferring and withdrawing the money.

 Similarly, Abiodun Oluwafemi, Akinloye Sakirat Folasade and Victoria Akanbi also conspired to defraud a store owner the sum of Seven hundred and thirty Eight thousand Six hundred and seventy naira.

 “The prime suspect Victoria Akanbi who works as a point of sales (POS) attendant at a store between October 2023 and August 2024 fraudulently debited the sum of Seven hundred and thirty Eight thousand Six hundred and seventy naira and transferred to the remaining two accomplice account (Abiodun Oluwafemi, Male and Akinloye Sakirat Folasade, Female, The three suspects were arrested between 9th and 11th august 2024 by the Tracking Unit of the Command” 

 Parading the suspects, NSCDC commandant in Oyo state, Mr Augustine Padonu said they were apprehended through efforts of gallant officers and intelligence information from members of the public.

 Mr Padanu who said the suspects would be arraigned in court after the investigation, called on the residents to always report any suspicious activity to NSCDC and other security agencies for quick intervention.
