‘We want to make life meaningful to the masses’ – Oyo Govt

Oyo State Government has reiterated its commitment to making life meaningful to the masses through provision of sound education, health policies and good security network.

Governor Seyi Makinde stated this at a Thanksgiving service to commemorate Nigeria’s 59th independence anniversary held at Saint Peter’s Anglican church Aremo Ibadan.

The Oyo State helmsman, who was represented by Secretary to the State Government, Mrs olubamiwo Adeosun, noted that the administration would do all within its capability to ease the problems of the masses.

In a remark, provost of the church, The Very Reverend Andrew Adebiyi, who tagged the title of his message for this year’s independence celebration as ‘Righteousness exalts a nation’, charged all political office holders be honest in all they do.

The very Reverend Adebiyi emphasized that in order for a nation to move forward, intelligence and integrity should be the watchword.
