Government
has been urged to focus more on improving agricultural production so as to
increase its patronage rather than closing the nation’s borders.
An
octogenarian, who is a retired research scientist, Dr Segun Obajimi stated this
at a lecture to mark his birthday in Ibadan.
Dr
Obajimi, who was also a former board member of FRCN Ibadan believes that
agriculture can improve the economy if properly harnessed.
Wife of the celebrant and some close associates described him as a loving
and intelligent man, whose love for agriculture cannot be quantified.
The occasion was graced by dignitaries from the field of agriculture.
