A community leader, Prince Adeyinka Adelekan wants Osun State Government to intensify efforts at protecting the environment and
encourage irrigation farming in Alaagan, Idi-Ahun, Apeje-Erin and area four in the state.

Local Government Area explained that the steps became necessary to
discourage deforestation and ensure food sufficiency after COVID-19
pandemic.

The community leader, who decried the level of de-afforestation and
illegal felling of trees in the affected communities called for
massive planting of trees to reduce the impact of climate change

Prince Adelekan advocated proper management of water resources across
the country for agricultural development and availability of fresh
farm products throughout the year.
