Osun state Government has declared tomorrow as public holiday for Muslim New Year, Hijrah 1442.
The Commissioner for Information and Civic Orientation in the state, Mrs Funke Egbemode who made this known through a statement made available to newsmen said the gesture was to afford Muslims in the state the opportunity to celebrate the new Islamic year.
According to the statement any form of social or religious gathering in respect of the celebration will not allowed.
The statement enjoined residents of the state to continue observing safety guidelines against COVID-19 as stated by the government and NCDC.
