The 1995 Set of Anglican Commercial Grammar School, Orita Mefa Ibadan, Oyo State has donated two thousand notebooks to students in junior and senior classes. 

Presenting the notebooks by the coordinator of the 1995 set, Mr. Oladele Ogunleye said the gesture would aid learning and teaching process in the school.  

Mr Ogunleye, who was represented by the Project and Welfare Officer, Mr Adeyemi Oyerinde, called on the students to remain focused in the academic pursuit.

Responding, Principal of Senior School, Mr. Akin Amao, assured that the presentation of the notebooks was a welcome development.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, the head boy, Gideon Olasupo and and the head girl, Miss Charity Godwin lauded the gesture of the 1995 set of the school, noting that it proved to the students the need to contribute to the society. 

Similarly, the Principal ACGS, Junior School, Orita-Mefa Ibadan, Mrs Sarah Kehinde Adebisi, said the donation was timely, noting that the note books was complimentary effort to the state government’s commitment to making education accessible to all and sundry.

Mr Adebisi confirmed that the gesture would have lasting impact on the students and teachers in the school.

The alumni association had earlier constructed the school main gate and security post.

Our correspondent report that the national body of the Association donated one thousand copies of the notebooks while the 1995 gave the remaining.
