Residents of Okuku town in Odo-Otin Local Government Area, Osun State were today thrown into panic as an unknown number of armed robbers invaded a new generation bank in the community.
Radio Nigeria gathered that the armed robbers stormed the bank around noon shooting sporadically into the air to create fear and scare residents away.
When the Osun State Police Command spokesperson, Mrs Yemisi Opalola, was contacted, she confirmed the incident.
She said, the Commissioner of Police, Mr Olawale Olokode, had led a team of police to the scene of the crime to dislodge the armed robbers and for possible arrest.
