Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege, has won the All Progressives Congress’ Gubernatorial Primary in Delta State.

Announcing the results in Asaba, Chairman of the Electoral Committee, Oyibo Nwaneri, stated that Senator Omo-Agege polled a total of one thousand one hundred and ninety votes, out of one thousand one hundred and ninety one votes cast.

In his acceptance speech senator Omo-Agege gave highlights of his sixty page manifesto focused on unifying the state, creating employment opportunities and infrastructure development.

A total of one thousand two hundred and twenty five delegates were accredited for the exercise, with only one invalid vote recorded throughout the process.

Meanwhile, the resident electoral commissioner in the state Pastor Monday-Udoh Tom, who witnessed the exercise described the contest as a family affair, while calling for a peaceful conduct and corporation among the stakeholders.
