Governor Kayode Fayemi has approved the composition of a twenty-man Transition Committee and a four-man Advisory Council.

This followed the victory of the Candidate of the All-Progressives Congress, Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji as Governor Elect in the just concluded election in Ekiti State.

The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr Yinka Oyebode made this known in a statement in Ado Ekiti.

According to the statement, the Transition Committee will among other tasks, study the state of affairs of the present administration, review the programmes and projects of Ministries, Departments and Agencies, MDAs and map out strategies for a smooth transition from the incumbent to the incoming government.

Also, the Advisory Council will address unresolved issues.

The Transition Committee and Advisory Council comprise members nominated by the state government and the Governor-elect.

Members of the Transition Committee are the SSG, Mr Foluso Daramola as the Chairperson of the committee and Senator Olubunmi Adetunmbi is the 

Co- chairperson while Mr Tolu Ibitola, Chief of Staff, Mr Wale Fapohunda Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr Akin Oyebode , Commissioner for Finance and Mrs Peju Babafemi-Head of Service are members.

Other members are Dr Olabimpe Aderiye, Dr Oyebanji Filani, Mr O’seun Odewale, Mrs Margaret Fagboyo, Prof Bolaji Aluko, Mr Oluwole Ariyo, Mr Deji Ajayi, Senator Tony Adeniyi and Mr Niyi Adebayo.

The rest are, Engr Dipo Bamisaye, Dr Habibat Adubiaro, Mr Sunday Fatoba, Prof Bisi Aina, Mr Adejumo Feyisope.

The Advisory Council members are the Deputy Governor, Otunba Bisi Egbeyemi as Chairperson, former Deputy Governor, Professor Modupe Adelabu as Co-Chairperson while a former Deputy Governor, Chief Abiodun Aluko and a former Chairman of APC, Chief Jide Awe are members.

The statement says the two Committees are to turn in their reports within six weeks from the date of their inauguration.
