Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission, INEC, collation Returning Officer who is the Vice Chancellor, University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Ogun State, Professor Olusola Kehinde has announced the results of the presidential election conducted on Saturday in the state.

Professor Kehinde disclosed that the All Progressives Congress, APC, polled 449,884 votes to defeat its closest rival the People’s Democratic Party, PDP which garnered 182,977 while Labour Party scored 99,110 votes in Oyo State.

Professor Kehinde appreciated stakeholders for the peaceful conduct of the election which had eighteen political parties contesting for the presidential seat.

Reacting, the representative of the PDP in the state, Dr Nureni Adeniran and his APC counterpart, Alhaji Olanite expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the process.
