Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi the Third has called for peace and unity among all political entities and traditional rulers in Oyo State for meaningful development to be achieved.

Oba Adeyemi stated this at the inauguration of new executives council and committee members and new projects by the Central Council of Ibadan Indegenes, CCII, held at Ibadan House, Oke Aremo.
 

Inaugurating a police station built by the CCII, Alaafin opined that peace and unity were pivotal to achieving a lot in any nation or state.
In his Response, Commissioner of Police in Oyo State, Mr Shina Olukolu, who commended CCII for the initiative, said the new police station would greatly reduce criminal activities in the area.

On his part, former governor of Oyo State,  Abiola Ajimobi called on philanthropists and well-meaning Nigerians to donate towards the completion of the Oba palace as this was is dream during his administration.

Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Adetunji, who prayed for the new executive council and committee members, charged them to be diligent in the task ahead.

President General, CCII, Mr Yemi Sholadoye pointed out that the creation of Ibadan State, palace completion and united ethnic agenda were topmost on the list of the new executive council  list

The new face of the Ibadan House was also inaugurated.
