Federal Government has been advised to intensify effort at ensuring standard in international and port health services to avoid the surface of coronavirus in Nigeria.

A public health expert, Dr. Adekunle Adekola gave the advice while speaking with Premier FM reporter on the need to guide against the scourge of coronavirus in the country through Nigeria’s various port systems.

 Dr Adekola explained that the mode of entry of Ebola into the country in 2014, through the airport should be avoided this time.

 He advised members of the public to be safety conscious by ensuring a clean environment, avoid crowded environment and report any suspected cases to public health institutions.

Dr Adekola also appealed to Nigerians to wage war against rats, engage in regular hand washing and avoid eating leftover foods.
