Operatives on Nigeria Police Force, Ogun state command have arrested five suspected cultists for allegedly killing a twenty-five year old man and unleashing terror in Ifo area of the state.

The suspects, Afeez Olapade, Idowu Adebayo Oduwaye Seyi, Fatai Olude and Alabi Segun 22 were apprehended following a distress call received by the DPO ifo division that the cult group were on rampage around ifo market attacking people with dangerous weapons and dispossessing innocent people of their valuables.

The Ogun state Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Abimbola Oyeyemi explained that the DPO of Ifo divion, Adeniyi Adekunle in company of his men rushed to the scene of the incident where a twenty five year old man identified as Sunday was met in the pool of his own blood due to several matchets injury on his body.

Mr Oyeyemi said a trailer driver also sustained injury while Olalekan Alade was dispossessed of his phone by the suspects.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, Mr Edward Ajogun has ordered the transfer of the suspects to state criminal investigation and intelligence department for discreet investigation.

Mr Ajogun also directed that the fleeing members of gang must be hunted for and brought to book within the shortest possible time.

He therefore warned that those who think that police had abandoned their duty as a result of recent protest should better have a rethink, pointing out that the command was determined to wage war against crime and criminality anywhere in the state .
